The Movement

The "Why do Girls Cry" movement was created by Haajirah Nur and Demo Nianghane after being inspired by a friend. It was to be a series of poem written by the two girls and any other friends who wanted to contribute.

The Purpose
Most of the poetry that was shared by the girls in the classroom was about expressed through these common themes:Love, Lust,Life, Patience, Pain, Patience, Pleasure,Growth, Acceptance and Anger. We decided to create a collection of poems that we and additional upperclassmen created throughout their years of high school to share with underclassmen to show them that they are not alone and that most of the things that will go through in high school we all go through and once it is all over they will look back and realize that everything they went through wasn't necessarily bad and if they choose to they can make those bad decisions,tears and obstacles the stones to build themselves to the person that they want to be.
